KITCHEN RULES & REMINDERS
- Cleanliness at all times is a necessity for the health of the whole camp. Please be at least as careful and as tidy here as you are in your kitchen at home. Health Department requirements are posted and must be adhered to!
- No children in the kitchen unless they’re assisting an adult with cooking or doing chores. Youth may enter unaccompanied, but only if on legitimate business!
- Please respect the property of others and don’t use it unless it’s been designated “for community use.” This includes both food items and cooking utensils. Also, please don’t unplug somebody else’s crock pot without asking first (unless it’s gone dry and is burning)!
- FOOD ALLERGY/SENSITIVITY NOTICES:
Effective for the entire Feast: ALL items containing PEANUTS in any form, TREE NUTS in any form, GRAPES in any form, TREE NUTS of any type, OLIVES (with exception of olive oil), MUSHROOMS, MSG, or YELLOW DYE # 5 must be clearly marked if they are for community consumption.
- Related to #4 above, please be very careful that labels are not moved and foods are kept separated. This includes keeping serving utensils in their appropriate dishes, and not combining various types of items onto a single plate when storing leftovers. Parents of small children, please watch them carefully regarding these matters. (One individual will react severely if her cookie even touches another one with peanuts or tree nuts in it, and we really don’t want to have to take her to the hospital!)
